We are pleased to announce we have taken on representation in the U.K. for Rive Pionono Prosecco
by Le Manzane
. They produce two Proseccos, Brut
and Extra Brut
Le Manzane estate is nestled in the Dolomite hills between the towns of Conegliano
, 80km from Venice
. All grapes for the wine are sourced from the family’s 40 hectare estate so quality is kept to a premium. Combine this with state of the art winemaking techniques and the result is a wine which exudes typical characteristics for the Veneto
Rive Pionono is a great example of Prosecco. Light, fresh and elegant, it is ideal for sipping with lunch or in the afternoon. Prosecco is most commonly made using the Prosecco grape, also known as Glera, which is fairly neutral in style making it ideal for sparkling wine. The grapes were hand-picked and sorted to ensure high quality.
Prosecco is a dry style of sparkling wine and this one is no exception. It is fresh, clean and crisp with zesty notes of citrus, pear and apple skin. Ideal for afternoon sipping. Due to the light, fresh nature of Prosecco it is ideal as an aperitif. Think about pairing to light salads, pasta or seafood dishes at lunchtime.
This Prosecco is an Extra Dry style of sparkling wine meaning it has no added sugar. Therefore it is superbly fresh, clean and crisp with zingy notes of lemon and lime peel, crunchy apples and a hint of florals. The finish is cool and refreshing. Prosecco of this style is ideal as an aperitif with olives or salted almonds, or just sip on its own on a warm evening.
