Here at the Perfect Cellar we are proud of our range of exclusive wines, several of which have quickly become our best-sellers, including Domaine Parigot Meursault 2010. Our experts have sourced exceptional wines from some of the most prestigious regions around France. They are available to purchase both online and by paying a visit to our new retail space as part of the Clerkenwell Collection. White wine is made here from the main white grape of the region, Chardonnay. I love the ethos that the Parigot family maintain during their winemaking. Not only do they consider the present year's harvest they also think forward to the effect it will have on the next year's harvest. This attention to detail flows through all aspects of viticulture and vinification to produce exceptional wines that exude characteristics typical of the appellation. Only 3 hectares of vineyard are planted with Chardonnay encompassing 3 appellations so to say the production is small and selective would be an understatement. Add to that the fact that only a third of production is available for export means this really is an exclusive wine of the highest quality and the Perfect Cellar are proud to represent this outstanding family run winery. The hints of apples and almonds that you can smell are reminiscent of early summer whilst the palate displays deeper complexities. White peach, citrus and a hint of blossom are balanced by a creamy texture and nutty, toasty notes from the time spent in oak. A delightful elegant, clean finish rounds off the experience. I would suggest serving it chilled, rather than cold, to get the most out of the flavour. Drink it with roast chicken, Rich seafood, creamy pasta or strong cheeses. The wine is drinking perfectly now but a few years in the bottle will only integrate the flavours and give an even more rounded wine.
