Angelo Gaja and Graci first met in 2015 and joined forces at the end of 2016. The name Idda means \"she\" in Sicilian, the affectionate and slightly awestruck way locals refer to Mount Etna. Together they farm around 20 hectares of vines on the mountain's southwest slope, in Belpasso and Biancavilla, planted mainly with Nerello Mascalese and Carricante. The Rosso is made from Nerello Mascalese, and 2017 was its first vintage.
