The 2nd wine of the Grand Cru Classé Château Jean Faure, Le Cedre de Jean Faure is a Merlot dominant blend (80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc), vinified separately to express the unique terroir of Château Jean Faure, the very same as its neighbours Château Cheval Blanc and Château Figeac. An elegant wine with supple tannins and expressive fruit, a fantastic affordable luxury. 

1 * Enclos de Viaud Lalande-de-Pomerol 2016

94 Points International Wine Report / 91 Points - Decanter. Situated on the banks of the Barbanne river which separates Lalande from Pomerol, this is some of the finest terroir and one of the best performing properties in the appellation. This medium-bodied red displays a fantastic structure with lovey fine tannins that provide plenty of structural backbone. A supple, sensual red Bordeaux with instant appeal and a long path of pleasure ahead. Exceptional 2016 - ready now but will keep for years !

1 * Château Haut-Maurac Médoc 2019

91 Points - Wine Enthusiast - Located in the district of Saint-Yzans, Château Haut-Maurac faces the Gironde estuary, similar to the best hillsides in Medoc.  A low yield of 35hl/ha, this Cru Bourgeois Bordeaux has a muscular but balanced palate which is well structured and has a core of lovely polished fruits from the Merlot dominant blend. "Lovely violet-fringed ruby colour. Soft but clear tannic frame, I love the balance here with well controlled dark fruits, cassis and bilberry giving Haut-Médoc character, and an excellent sense of lift and grip through the palate. One to look out for in the Cru Bourgeois category in 2019. 20% new oak" - Decanter

1 * Château Lagrave Paran 'Coeur de Cuvée' Bordeaux Supérieur 2018

92 Points - International Wine Report. "The 2018 Château Lagrave Paran 'Coeur de Cuvée' opens to inviting aromas of dark cherries and blackberries which are joined by tobacco, spices, toast and mineral undertones." A super concentrated Bordeaux from a tiny 3.5 hectare vineyard, aged in oak barrels (33% new) for 16 to 20 months. Rich dark fruits with well balanced spicy notes and nicely polished tannins.

1 * Château Saint-Michel Bordeaux Supérieur 2014

91 Points - International Wine Report (IWR). Owned by the Delon family of Château Léoville las Cases in Saint-Julien, this small property has produced a dense wine. Château Saint Michel is winemaking at the pinnacle of technology. This medium-bodied red possesses a fine, silky texture and nice balance all the way through the finish. There is a lovely elegance to this wine made from 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc grape varieties. IWR:  "The 2014 Château Saint-Michel opens to pretty aromas of cherries and spices woven together with mineral, fresh cut floral and tobacco. This medium-bodied red possesses a fine, silky texture and nice balance all the way through the finish, which lingers with fresh red fruits, tobacco and spices notes. There is a lovely elegance to this wine, and I expect it to flesh out and continue to take shape in bottle over the next few years."  Simply Fantastic.

1 * Château Bois de Rolland 'Vieilles Vignes' Bordeaux Supérieur 2020

Château Bois de Rolland is situated just 17 kilometres from Saint Emilion, famous for its World Class wines like Château Angelus. This cuvée, made from old vines (Vieilles Vignes) benefits from the same clay and limestone soils, perfect for the Merlot grape to show its full potential. 70% Merlot & 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, this estate bottled wine has a lovely cherry red colour with an elegant nose of cinnamon, vanilla and red fruits.

Advent Calendar

Delivery will be made in the week commencing 20th November 2023.

As indicated in our Quality Promise we will happily refund or exchange any faulty bottles. All we ask is the bottles in question are returned to us at least half full for verification purposes. If a bottle is broken on delivery we will also replace or refund it but we do require photographic evidence of the breakage. Equally we can arrange for the bottles to be collected the next time you receive a delivery from us.

Should we be unable to fulfil any part, or all of an order, Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) will suggest comparable substitutions. You are free to refuse these suggestions and are eligible for a full refund of relevant parts of the order.

In all instances, Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) must be informed of any claim within 24 hours of receipt of delivery by email or telephone. All refunds will be issued after we have received and approved the faulty items and the amount will be re-credited to your account within 30 days. The amount refunded will be equal to the full amount paid for the relevant products at the time of purchase and must be made by the same payment method as the original sale.

If you choose to cancel your contract of sale with Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) you may do so within 30 days of receipt of the goods. If the goods have already been dispatched they must be returned to us unopened and undamaged, and Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) will not be liable for any costs associated with the original or return delivery. 

No refund can be given when a case has left bond as the value will be affected. Individual bottles of Fine Wine will be considered for refund on a case-by-case basis.
