What's in the box?

1 * Casa La Rad Alma Rioja DOCa 2015

93 Points - Tim Atkin. We are very proud to bring you the Alma La Rad Rioja DOCa 2015 which is Bodegas Casa La Rads flagship wine with a very limited production of only 2000 bottles for this 2015 vintage. Awarded 93 Points by Tim Atkin in his Rioja Special Report, Casa La Rad Alma is a 50/50 blend of Tempranillo and Graciano, grown at an altitude of 500 meters and fermented in large French oak barrels. The Alma is a super complex wine with stunning presentation, from a forward looking winery dedicated to the environment to sustain and improve its vitality and biodiversity. A wine that can be enjoyed now or laid down for up to 5 more years, this is a rare opportunity to acquire this beautiful wine.

1 * Domaine Decelle & Fils Chorey-Lès-Beaune 'Les Beaumonts' Rouge 2017

Situated in the north of Côte de Beaune, at the foot of the famous hillside of Corton, the village of Chorey specialise in mainly producing Pinot Noir. This Chorey-Lès-Beaune comes from parcels which are wedged between the districts of Savigny and Aloxe to produce a light, elegant and supple wine with morello cherry and raspberry notes and soft tannins.

1 * Vignoble De Boisseyt Crozes-Hermitage Rouge 'Horizon' 2018

Award Winning Vineyard - Two plots of Syrah vines from Chanos Curson and Veaunes, with an average age of over 20 years go into making this intense, silky and balanced Crozes-Hermitage. Drink now, or lay down to increase in complexity over the next 5-10 years. this wine reveals the characteristic nose of the Syrah grape variety, both crisp and mellow with hints of red berries ripened in the sun. An initial tender attack on the palate, soft tannins and a refreshing aftertaste revealing an overall charming wine. This red Crozes-Hermitage will go perfectly with a leg of lamb, a woodcock with ceps or simply with a great piece of beef.

1 * Mas Amiel 'Légende' Maury Sec 2018

90 POINTS ROBERT PARKER - Légende is made from an old vineyard plot dating back to 1949 where the first ever dry Maury wine was produced. The soil is tilled by Comtois draught horses – Rambo and Vagabond, and the blend is Grenache Noir (80%) and Carignan (20%), after being hand harvested, twice sorted and fully de-stemmed. The result is a wine with great aromatic depth.

1 * Donne Fittipaldi Bolgheri Rosso DOC 2020

An impressive wine for any occasion. Bolgheri is a relatively young yet prestigious Italian appellation located on the Tuscan coast just to the south of Livorno, home to exceptional wines. It is known mainly for deeply coloured, supple yet age worthy red wines, usually based on the Bordeaux grape varieties, which this wine is no different (50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Malbec). A classic, elegant Bordeaux style blend with round and silky tannins that result in a pleasant and long-lasting finish.

1 * Villa Walter Fontana Legame Rosso di Valtellina DOC 2019

This 100% Chiavennasca (the Valtellina name for Nebbiolo) is the perfect alternative to a fresher, lighter style of Barolo. If you never heard of ‘Heroic Viticulture’ you must check out where this wine was made. Valtellina valley is nestled in the Italian Alps about 100km from Lake Como and the Stelvio pass. Jumps out of the glass with its fragrant nose of fresh forest fruit and red berries. Dry and savoury on the palate, an elegant and vibrant style of red wine with notes of spices, black cherries and peppery, somewhat salty finish.

* We may have to change a particular wine or vintage due to stock availability. Should we do so, it will be for a wine of a similar style and of an equal or greater value than that of the advertised bottle.
