The Miller family has farmed here for generations, and the first wine grapes were planted by Donald Miller in 1968. The ranch was once a WWII flight school, which gives the winery its name and the aviation themed labels, and Mike Miller founded Airfield Estates Winery in 2005. The wines are grown on the family's own estate vineyard and are largely vegan friendly.
