Château Bois de Rolland is situated just 17 kilometres from Saint Emilion, famous for its World Class wines like Château Angelus. This cuvée, made from old vines (Vieilles Vignes) benefits from the same clay and limestone soils, perfect for the Merlot grape to show its full potential. 70% Merlot & 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, this estate bottled wine has a lovely cherry red colour with an elegant nose of cinnamon, vanilla and red fruits. Nicely rounded with a good structure and a finish of coffee and red fruit notes, this is a well balanced and classic Bordeaux from and estate owned by the Géromin family, whose goal is to make Château Bois de Rolland one of the best Bordeaux Supérieur wines available.

Cherry red in colour. Elegant nose, spices, cinnamon, vanilla and red fruits. Fine wine, round with a good structure. At the end you will find some coffee and red fruits notes.
About the Producer
The property has a wonderful history and pedigree. Situated just 17 kilometres from Saint Emilion on the Coubeyrac plateau of clay and limestone – the blend that helps to express some of the finest wines in Bordeaux. The Marianist monks built some stunning buildings to use this terroir as a farm. The farmers were none other than the orphans of the region who were taken in to live, work and gain an education. The property became renowned for its vines, cereal production and cattle rearing. Now just a winery, the perfect exposure of a plateau with south facing vines upon ancient sedimentary soils allow the Geromin family to produce fabulous wines.
The first generation of the Geromin family to labour these soils put in back breaking hours of work to produce a fabulous expression of this wonderful terroir. They have now passed the baton to their 2 daughters. Audrey the eldest who learnt her trade at La Tour Blanche is now the winemaker, while her younger sister Marion is responsible for the distribution. Marion cut her teeth in distribution in Kuala Lumpur and worked in the Ribera del Duero region for 3 years.

In the unfortunate event of any issues you may have with your delivery, please contact our Customer Service team and we will investigate this for you.
As indicated in our Quality Promise we will happily refund or exchange any faulty or corked bottles, or wines you don’t like. All we ask is the bottles in question are returned to us at least half full for verification purposes. If a bottle is broken on delivery we will also replace or refund it but we do require photographic evidence of the breakage. Equally we can arrange for the bottles to be collected the next time you receive a delivery from us.
Should we be unable to fulfill any part, or all of an order, Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) will suggest comparable substitutions. You are free to refuse these suggestions and are eligible for a full refund of relevant parts of the order.
In all instances, Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) must be informed of any claim within 24 hours of receipt of delivery by letter or telephone. All refunds will be issued after we have received and approved the faulty items and the amount will be re-credited to your account within 30 days. The amount refunded will be equal to the full amount paid for the relevant products at the time of purchase and must be made by the same payment method as the original sale.
If you choose to cancel your contract of sale with Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) you may do so within seven working days of receipt of the goods. If the goods have already been dispatched they must be returned to us unopened and undamaged, and Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) will not be liable for any costs associated with the original or return delivery.
No refund can be given when a case has left bond as the value will be affected. Individual bottles of Fine Wine will be considered for refund on a case-by-case basis.
