Jacques Merlaut bought it in 1978 and entrusted it to his daughter Bernadette, who revived a neglected estate. In 1988 it was picked by 50 tasters as one of the ten most typical wines of Margaux. Since 1993 it has been run by Claire Villars-Lurton, who has converted the vineyard to organic farming, certified in 2016, and to biodynamics, certified in 2018 by both Demeter and Biodyvin. Its vines are surrounded by some of Margaux's greatest growths, and Château Margaux itself coveted them for years.
