Sauvignon Blanc leads, giving freshness and lift, while a little Sémillon adds body and a creamy texture, and time in oak adds a gentle toasty depth. It is a lively, opulent Pessac-Léognan white, perfumed with stone fruit and elderflower, and kept fresh by lemon and grapefruit. The vines are managed sustainably. Serve it lightly chilled, at about 11°C, with cod in white wine, shellfish, grilled chicken salad or goat’s cheese.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTaste\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eBright yellow in colour. The nose is floral and fruity, with citrus and acacia, white fleshed fruit such as peach, stone fruit and elderflower, and hints of hazelnut and toast from the barrel. The palate is fresh and lively, with a creamy texture, good body and a lemony, mineral finish. Fresh fruit and floral notes carry on to a long, elegant finish. Aged in oak. In 1999 it was acquired by its neighbour, Château Bouscaut, owned by Sophie Lurton and Laurent Cogombles. Its vines are on average 35 years old and grow on deep soils near the Garonne River.
