This traditional, bottle-fermented, vintage sparkling wine is made from the traditional Champagne grape varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. About the Producer
Furleigh Estate is 85 acres of vineyard, lakes and grazing land surrounded by woodland near Bridport, Dorset. The area is teaming with wildlife; buzzards fly overhead; deer, pheasants and partridge roam the vineyard, while heron fish regularly from the lakes to which the resident geese return each Spring.
Four years of careful planning and investment has transformed the former dairy farm into a modern and productive vineyard and winery.
A 5,000 square foot winery was built in 2007. This now accommodates a specialist pneumatic press, designed to carry out the very gentle whole bunch pressing required for quality sparkling wines. Temperature controlled stainless steel tanks from Italy and Germany, oak barrels from Cognac and riddling and dosage machinery from Epernay in the Champagne region of France complete the major equipment.
A temperature controlled cellar provides the ideal conditions to store and mature sparkling wines on their lees, so as to develop the best flavours and mousse possible.
A classic dry sparkling wine with a refined elegance. The colour is pale lemon straw with a steady stream of minute bubbles. It has appealing floral aromas of apple blossom interlaced with ripe melon and constance pear plus a delicate thread of minerality. On the palate the fine mousse marries citrus flavours of grapefruit and Sicilian lemon with a crystalline structure and zesty acidity. The autolytic character is subtle. It has excellent poise and a persistent finish.
This traditional, bottle-fermented, quality sparkling wine is made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. These classic French varieties give this wine a creamy mousse, a fruity and harmonious taste and good length focussed on freshness. After hand-picking, the grapes were whole bunch pressed to obtain the finest juice. Tirage took place after 7 months. The wine was then left to mature on its lees for at least 18 months, with a further 2 months in the bottle after dosage.

As indicated in our Quality Promise we will happily refund or exchange any faulty or corked bottles, or wines you don’t like. All we ask is the bottles in question are returned to us at least half full for verification purposes. If a bottle is broken on delivery we will also replace or refund it but we do require photographic evidence of the breakage. Equally we can arrange for the bottles to be collected the next time you receive a delivery from us.
Should we be unable to fulfill any part, or all of an order, Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) will suggest comparable substitutions. You are free to refuse these suggestions and are eligible for a full refund of relevant parts of the order.
In all instances, Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) must be informed of any claim within 24 hours of receipt of delivery by letter or telephone. All refunds will be issued after we have received and approved the faulty items and the amount will be re-credited to your account within 30 days. The amount refunded will be equal to the full amount paid for the relevant products at the time of purchase and must be made by the same payment method as the original sale.
If you choose to cancel your contract of sale with Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) you may do so within seven working days of receipt of the goods. If the goods have already been dispatched they must be returned to us unopened and undamaged, and Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) will not be liable for any costs associated with the original or return delivery.
No refund can be given when a case has left bond as the value will be affected. Individual bottles of Fine Wine will be considered for refund on a case-by-case basis.
