WHAT'S IN THE BOX?

1 * Château Chantelune Margaux 2019

Château Chantelune is a unique property. Its previous owner, Mr. Soubrane was a carpenter who believed in felling his trees by moonlight, claiming this gave the best quality wood. His practice gave the property its name, meaning “sing to the moon.” The current owner is the world renowned José Sanfins, director at third growth property, Château Cantenac Brown and produces only 400 cases per year.

1 * Domaine Charly Nicolle Chablis 1er Cru 'Les Fourneaux' 2019

93 Points - International Wine Report 2017. Les Fourneaux’ is one of the 17 Chablis Premier Cru vineyards and is located near the village of Fleys on the eastern edge of Chablis. Translated into English, 'Les Fourneaux' means furnace and is indicative of the warm Meso-climate of the area. Along with the traditional minerality and elegance of all good Chablis, this wine has a tropical hint to add complexity. Winemakers tasting note: Its hue is a lovely straw yellow. Its nose is an intoxicating floral bouquet with notes of almonds and honey and filled with ripe fruit aromas. Tasting is a festival of flavour… tender and abundant. Its character, well-balanced with definite sweetness, was forged respecting the terroir and climate.

1 * Ramirana Trinidad Vineyards 2018

95/100 Points - Descorchados. A deeply concentrated and structured wine from the Trinidad vineyard, located in the coastal area of the Maipo Valley. This particular area is located only 55 kilometers from the sea where the Pacific Ocean breeze lends to the slow ripening of the grapes and in conjunction with the soils, exceptional colour, aromas, concentration and structure. A blend of Syrah (64%), Cabernet Sauvignon (28%) & Carmenere (8%), the fruit sits wonderfully over a structured and softly delicate drop of french oak, where the vanilla and spicy hints complement the juicy, velvety fruit.

1 * Casa La Rad Blanco Rioja DOCa 2017

90 Points - Tim Atkins. The Casa La Rad wines are made from their most valuable vineyard, the La Rad vineyard, with vines older than 35 years of age. The grapes are handpicked and carefully selected before spending 14 months in new French oak barrels and aged on its lees. 50% Chardonnay, 30% Malvasia and 20% Viura, this is an elegant and well balanced with a creamy texture bursting with fresh and vibrant aromas of white peach, citrus, white flowers and mineral notes.

1 * Albert Bichot Coteaux Bourguignons 2019

Coteaux Bourguignons is a recent appellation (2011). It allows Burgundy’s red varietals, Pinot Noir and Gamay, to express all of their freshness. Though the soils are all composed of calcareous clay, the diversity of the terroirs that span the region from north to south gives this wine lovely, complex aromas and flavours. Fruity spicy nose with notes of cherry, redcurrant and liquorice with a touch of rose petal.

1 * Bodegas Verdeal '20 de Abril' Verdejo 2020

Verdejo is the flagship variety of Rueda and this indigenous Spanish grape offers a crisp and refreshing white wine with green apple and citrus fruit. Notes of green apple and citrus aromas which are complemented by peach, apricot and with pleasant floral nuances of hawthorn and acacia, well combined with a balsamic finish of fennel, hay and aniseed. It is very well balanced with crispy acidity.
