91 Points - Wine Enthusiast. Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste produced an outstanding 2013. Writing in the Wine Advocate, Neal Martin described it as ‘one of the finest Pauillac wines of the vintage.’ A cool, wet spring, baking hot July, and a harvest carried out in fits and starts, this was a vintage that tested the winemakers’ skills to the limit. Grand-Puy-Lacoste’s Xavier and Emeline Borie were more than up to the challenge though and produced a wine that warrants its status as a Grand Cru Classé.

  • Country: Australia, New South Wales
    Grape: Syrah/shiraz
    ABV: 14.5%
This rare wine from The Kingsvale Vineyard, retains its freshness, with delicious, sweet fruity flavour. Oak and fruit tannins gives structure and dry out the finish. The 2013 vintage was extremely dry and so only a small vintage was produced making it a rich, full-bodied shiraz more like a Barossa style than your typical Hilltops variety. This is the last harvest to ever come from the Kingsvale Vineyard and has the potential for another 10 years of careful cellaring but is ready to be drunk now

In order to be labelled as “Sélection de Grains Nobles”, each grape (infected with noble rot) is harvested manually one by one at the end of October or beginning of November, under state control. The grapes are then progressively pressed in a pneumatic press in order to extract the juice and aromas. The naturally present yeast on the grapes will start the alcoholic fermentation process that will change the grape juice into wine. Temperature controls are conducted throughout the fermentation proce

    Country: France, Burgundy
    Grape: Pinot Noir
    ABV: 13%
The 45-year old vines are planted in complex soils comprising alluvial deposits, rich clay and iron oxide. This combination of factors produces a Nuits-Saint-Georges that is at once sophisticated and strong thereby setting it apart from the other less well situated terroirs within the appellation. Handpicked, the grapes are transported to the cellar in 15 kg crates before being sorted by hand so as to solely use perfectly ripened and healthy grapes. 100% de-stemmed, the grapes are then transform

93 Points - International Wine Report (2014). Situated in an enviable small enclave among the classified growths of Saint-Julien, 5 hectares of vines are surrounded by the grand crus classés of Leoville Barton, Gruaud Larose, Beychevelle and Talbot. "The Château Moulin de la Rose Saint-Julien is a wonderful showing. It instantly starts off with aromas of red and dark berries woven together with flowers, spices, new leather and toast all unwinding in the glass. On the palate this is medium to ful

90 Points - International Wine Report. Originally from the island of Elba, The gorgeaus Ripalte from Tuscany is made from Alicante (Grenache) and Carignan. Picked exclusively by hand, this cuvée has lovely notes of raspberry, redcurrant, kirsch and spicy aromas. Rosso delle Ripalte has a lively ruby red colour. The nose shows a good complexity, with hints of red fruits (raspberries, currants and cherries) that go perfectly with strong spicy notes. In the mouth it is of good freshness and structu
