High End Merlot Wine

High End Merlot Wine

Merlot is one of the most popular red grape varieties in the world despite the famous quote in the cult classic, Sideways, ‘If anyone orders Merlot I’m leaving!’. This dark blue grape is famous for the role it plays in the great blends of Bordeaux, adding body and softness to its sterner friends, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. We have a range of high end Merlot wines, many of which are rated 90+ points, these wines are fruit forward and easy drinking. Our high end Merlot wines are best paired with homemade burgers.

    Grape: Merlot
    ABV: 13%
This wine is a piece of history and when sold out - it will be wine money cannot buy ! The owner of Château Les Vimières, Jacques Boissenot, was central to the development of new winemaking techniques in Bordeaux before he sadly passed away in 2014. Jacques had his hand on pretty much every First Growth production since the 1960s and was voted Decanter magazine's Winemaker of the Decade in 2010. This Margaux from the outstanding 2010 vintage amply demonstrates how he led the way for quality wine
