Shiraz, Grenache, Mataro (SGM) is an Australian wine classic, and the Lou Miranda Estate Fierce III SGM is one of the very best. 2019 was an outstanding year for the Barossa Valley and the family made the most of the conditions to produce a truly beautiful Australian red wine. The Shiraz gives it its wonderfully deep colour and black berry fruit, the Grenache adds plump, overripe cherries and the Mataro provides the backbone. It was aged for 15 months in seasoned American and French oak, a luxurious addition that’s added depth and body but which hasn’t overwhelmed the beautiful array of fruit flavours.

Taste

The Lou Miranda Estate SGM marries distinctive flavours from all the varietals in the blend to give something that’s far greater than the sum of its parts. The Shiraz gives an upfront flavour of ripe plum, brown spice and mid-palate weight. The Grenache gives more fragrant characters of raspberry, cherry, rose and pink peppercorns, while the Mataro adds more savoury, earthy notes. Intense and complex, the Lou Miranda Estate SGM is a multifaceted and layered Australian wine with great persistence and length. A wine to drink with red meats, fine cheeses and good company.

About the Producer

Lou Miranda is a family-owned boutique producer located in the heart of Australia’s famed Barossa Valley. Now run by Lou and his three daughters Lisa, Angela and Victoria, their winemaking philosophy is simple but successful, ‘You can only make great wine with great fruit.’ The family see themselves as custodians of exceptional vineyards, some of which date back to 1898. These receive high levels of manual care, while in the winery intervention is kept to a minimum to promote their wines’ natural beauty. Their approach has seen them win dozens of awards and earn a global reputation for excellence. Lou Miranda’s Fierce III range offers an affordable taste of top-flight Australian wine and should be in every wine lover’s cellar.

TastingBOX

The TastingBOX is delivered free of charge by UK Royal Mail Tracked 48hr to UK addresses only. 

As indicated in our Quality Promise we will happily refund or exchange any faulty bottles. All we ask is the bottles in question are returned to us at least half full for verification purposes. If a bottle is broken on delivery we will also replace or refund it but we do require photographic evidence of the breakage. Equally we can arrange for the bottles to be collected the next time you receive a delivery from us.

Should we be unable to fulfil any part, or all of an order, Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) will suggest comparable substitutions. You are free to refuse these suggestions and are eligible for a full refund of relevant parts of the order.

In all instances, Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) must be informed of any claim within 24 hours of receipt of delivery by email or telephone. All refunds will be issued after we have received and approved the faulty items and the amount will be re-credited to your account within 30 days. The amount refunded will be equal to the full amount paid for the relevant products at the time of purchase and must be made by the same payment method as the original sale.

If you choose to cancel your contract of sale with Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) you may do so within 30 days of receipt of the goods. If the goods have already been dispatched they must be returned to us unopened and undamaged, and Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) will not be liable for any costs associated with the original or return delivery. 

No refund can be given when a case has left bond as the value will be affected. Individual bottles of Fine Wine will be considered for refund on a case-by-case basis.
