Chateau Bois de Rolland

Chateau Bois de Rolland

The property has a wonderful history and pedigree. Situated just 17 kilometres from Saint Emilion on the Coubeyrac plateau of clay and limestone – the blend that helps to express some of the finest wines in Bordeaux. The Marianist monks built some stunning buildings to use this terroir as a farm. The farmers were none other than the orphans of the region who were taken in to live, work and gain an education. The property became renowned for its vines, cereal production and cattle rearing. Now just a winery, the perfect exposure of a plateau with south facing vines upon ancient sedimentary soils allow the Geromin family to produce fabulous wines.

Bronze Medal Winner. 2021 was a glorious year for Bordeaux and the vintage’s quality filtered down to the petit chateaux as the Bois de Rolland Cuvee Prestige 2021 shows. Those who were watchful saw reduced harvests of exceptionally ripe grapes that produced wines of wonderful quality. Awards Bronze Medal - Decan
