Groot Phesantekraal, established in 1698, is one of Durbanville’s oldest farms. Under the stewardship of the Brink family since 1897, the estate blends rich heritage with modern winemaking. In the late 1990s, André and Ronelle Brink planted 50 hectares of vineyards, introducing varieties like Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah. The boutique winery, housed in a restored 1720s stable, produces wines that reflect the cool Durbanville terroir. The estate also offers a restaurant and tasting room, inviting visitors to experience its legacy firsthand.
