Tiefenbrunner

Tiefenbrunner

Tiefenbrunner is one the leading wineries in Italy’s South Tyrol. While it’s part of Italy the region’s wines, like the wider culture, have their roots in Austria. Now in its fifth generation of family ownership, the talented team of Christof and Sabine Tiefenbrunner now run this exceptional estate. They are great believers in allowing their wines to have a ‘taste of place’ and as such they believe in intervening (using natural methods) in the vineyard while being as non-interventionist as possible in the winery. With fruit coming from some of the most spectacular and highest vineyards in Europe, their wines are demarcated by freshness and delicacy allied to intensity and complexity to give a unique take on grapes such as Lagrein.
