This wine is a piece of history and when sold out - it will be wine money cannot buy ! The owner of Château Les Vimières, Jacques Boissenot, was central to the development of new winemaking techniques in Bordeaux before he sadly passed away in 2014. Jacques had his hand on pretty much every First Growth production since the 1960s and was voted Decanter magazine's Winemaker of the Decade in 2010. This Margaux from the outstanding 2010 vintage amply demonstrates how he led the way for quality wine

    Wine 91 Point Rating
    Country: Spain, Rioja
    Grape: Tempranillo
    ABV: 14%
91 Points - Tim Atkin. A wine produced only in excellent vintages from over 60 year old vines situated in the Rioja Alta. This is a classic Rioja with a modern touch characterising the Ramón Bilbao style and philosophy. Elegant and complex nose with aromas of ripe fruit, blackberry, plum, hints of cherry. Spicy with aromatic herbs such as rosemary, there is a clear presence of oak barrels and hints of sweet spices, pastries and nougat combined with roasted flavours and cocoa.  About the Producer

  • Wine 94 Point Rating
    Country: Spain, Rioja
    Grape: Tempranillo
    ABV: 14%
94 Points - Wine Enthusiast. “This shows the ripeness of the vintage with plum and rose-petal aromas and some wood. Full-bodied and chewy with a combination of grape and wood tannins that give a roasted coffee-bean texture and flavour to the ripe fruit. Lightly dry at the finish." About the Producer Rated well over 90 points a number of times by Robert Parker - Bodega Sierra Cantabria is located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, a village with a great winemaking tradition in the heat of La Rioja.
