The Hill of Corton lies in the midst of a cluster of famous wine-growing villages, Ladoix-Serrigny, Aloxe-Corton, Pernand-Vergelesses and Savigny-lès-Beaune. The vineyards lie at heights of 250-330 metres and form a kind of amphitheatre not found elsewhere in the Côte. Corton is the only Red Grand Cru in the Côte de Beaune, and this cuvée from Decelle Villa is a limited production of only 300 bottles from the 'Climat' of Le Rognet. 'Vol de Nuit' is a pure expression of the Carignan grape variety from a selection of 3 very old parcels of vines dating back to 1900. The result is a wine with a very deep colour and an explosion of fruit, black cherry and spice. Simply wonderful!  About the Producer A story that began when, in 1816, Raymond Amiel won the deeds to this property from the Bishop of Perpignan over a game of cards.
