A fruity and spicy nose, with notes of pear infused with Sichuan pepper and also yellow melon notes, followed by light herbal notes. On the palate, a soft and generous wine with yellow nectarine aromas. A slight salinity and a spicy finish.

"Pale colour with a copper hue. Pure and fragrant with fresh pineapple, lemongrass, wild berries and some floral hints. The palate shows good bite and freshness with mild extract giving lift and length, elegant red fruit and citrus flavours with a long and lingering finish."

About the Producer

Château Gassier is situated 25 km from the ancient town of Aix-en-Provence, at the foot of Mont Sainte-Victoire. The Gassier family bought Château Gassier and its 40 hectares of vines in 1982. Today the vineyard is managed by Georges Gassier, who represents the fifth winegrowing generation of the family, working with the support from his father. It is only over time that passion, hard work and know-how combined, have helped Château Gassier to develop its exceptional potential for excellence.

The Estate’s wines have been officially recognised as organic wines since it obtained the Organic Agriculture Certification in 2016. Working the soil and the vines according to these principles preserves the natural balance and ensures that the wines are a truer expression of the terroir. The Sainte-Victoire mountain is a protected area and has been certified as a ‘Grand Site de France’ since 2004. Château Gassier is directly associated with the Grand Site Sainte-Victoire and, since April 2015, has been offering open access to its ‘sentier des vignes’ educational wine trail in order to promote the exceptional biodiversity of Sainte-Victoire and its wines. The aim is also to raise public awareness of environmentally friendly wine growing practices.

Advent Calendar

Delivery will be made in the week commencing 20th November 2023.

As indicated in our Quality Promise we will happily refund or exchange any faulty bottles. All we ask is the bottles in question are returned to us at least half full for verification purposes. If a bottle is broken on delivery we will also replace or refund it but we do require photographic evidence of the breakage. Equally we can arrange for the bottles to be collected the next time you receive a delivery from us.

Should we be unable to fulfil any part, or all of an order, Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) will suggest comparable substitutions. You are free to refuse these suggestions and are eligible for a full refund of relevant parts of the order.

In all instances, Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) must be informed of any claim within 24 hours of receipt of delivery by email or telephone. All refunds will be issued after we have received and approved the faulty items and the amount will be re-credited to your account within 30 days. The amount refunded will be equal to the full amount paid for the relevant products at the time of purchase and must be made by the same payment method as the original sale.

If you choose to cancel your contract of sale with Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) you may do so within 30 days of receipt of the goods. If the goods have already been dispatched they must be returned to us unopened and undamaged, and Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) will not be liable for any costs associated with the original or return delivery. 

No refund can be given when a case has left bond as the value will be affected. Individual bottles of Fine Wine will be considered for refund on a case-by-case basis.
