A pure, unoaked Cabernet Franc from organically farmed vines at 1,050 metres, fermented and aged in concrete eggs, from the Durigutti family estate that was ranked number 11 in the World’s Best Vineyards for 2025. The brothers Héctor and Pablo Durigutti have spent years reviving the historic Las Compuertas district of Luján de Cuyo, and this is its freshest, most transparent expression of the grape. Juicy red cherries, fine herbs and hints of paprika and hibiscus give it perfume and lift, with fine tannins and lively acidity. It is a food friendly red for roast chicken, lamb, grilled vegetables or goat’s cheese. Serve it lightly cool, at 15 to 18°C.

Taste

Juicy and fragrant, with pristine red cherries and fresh raspberry, fine herbs, tomato leaf, and hints of paprika, hibiscus and white pepper. The palate is agile and vibrant, with fine tannins, good acidity and a texture that is chalky and mineral from the concrete eggs. The finish is subtle and refreshing. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in concrete eggs without epoxy, and aged in the eggs, with no oak. Delicious now, and it should keep for several years.

About the Producer

Durigutti Family Winemakers was founded in 2002 by the brothers Héctor and Pablo Durigutti, who grew up in Mendoza and made wine in Italy, Argentina and Chile before starting their own project. Since 2007 they have been reviving the historic Las Compuertas district of Luján de Cuyo, working with very old local genetic material and traditional vineyard methods. Their Cabernet Franc comes from Finca Victoria, planted in 2015 at 1,050 metres on sandy loam with deep rolled pebbles, and farmed organically. Their estate was ranked number 11 in the World’s Best Vineyards for 2025.

Your E-gift card will be delivered immediately to your email inbox for you to print off or forward on.

As indicated in our Quality Promise we will happily refund or exchange any faulty bottles. All we ask is the bottles in question are returned to us at least half full for verification purposes. If a bottle is broken on delivery we will also replace or refund it but we do require photographic evidence of the breakage. Equally we can arrange for the bottles to be collected the next time you receive a delivery from us.

Should we be unable to fulfil any part, or all of an order, Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) will suggest comparable substitutions. You are free to refuse these suggestions and are eligible for a full refund of relevant parts of the order.

In all instances, Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) must be informed of any claim within 24 hours of receipt of delivery by email or telephone. All refunds will be issued after we have received and approved the faulty items and the amount will be re-credited to your account within 30 days. The amount refunded will be equal to the full amount paid for the relevant products at the time of purchase and must be made by the same payment method as the original sale.

If you choose to cancel your contract of sale with Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) you may do so within 30 days of receipt of the goods. If the goods have already been dispatched they must be returned to us unopened and undamaged, and Perfect Cellar (Beyond the Bottle Ltd) will not be liable for any costs associated with the original or return delivery.

No refund can be given when a case has left bond as the value will be affected. Individual bottles of Fine Wine will be considered for refund on a case-by-case basis.

We advise contacting our Customers Services team before making any claim to ensure the process goes as smoothly as possible.

Advent Calendars - Due to the made-to-order nature of our Advent Calendars, they are not eligible for a full refund. However, we reserve the right to issue a refund in the form of store credit.
