How many servings will I receive? The 3 TastingBOX has 3 servings, 1 of each wine, and the 6 TastingBOX has 2 servings of each wine.
What size are the servings? Each serving is 100ml.
Why is each serving 100ml? Legally, the government only allows us to ship wine in quantities up to 100ml per serving or in significantly larger sizes.
Why can't the servIng be larger? If we were to ship in larger serving sizes, the TastingBOX would not fit through the letterbox nor would it be able to be posted via Royal Mail. Instead, it would have to be delivered by courier and attract significantly larger shipping costs.
What if I order additional wines at the same time? Your TastingBOX will be delivered by Royal Mail and will fit through a standard sized letterbox, any additional wines ordered will be sent via Parcelforce at no additional cost and you will receive these within 2-5 working days.
When will I be billed? After your first TastingBOX you will be billed on the 15th of the month, from the next payable month (dependent upon your chosen frequency). You should expect to receive your TastingBOX within 2-5 days of the 15th of each month.
The Wines this quarter
Vignoble De Boisseyt Saint-Peray 2019
Saint Péray, was described by Decanter Magazine's Andrew Jefford, as "now one of the most exciting zones in France." The most southerly appellation in the Northern Rhône, Saint-Péray was originally an appellation making traditional method sparkling wines to rival those of Champagne. Once highly praised but often forgotten, Saint-Péray is making a come back in recent times with still whites made of Marsanne and Roussanne. This 100% Marsanne from Domaine De Boisseyt is an unctuous full bodied stone fruits dominated white.
Ernesto del Palacio Tinto Crianza Toro 2017
Ernesto del Palacio has been making wine for over 300 years in the region of Toro, most famously known for its powerful reds made from Tinta de Toro, a variant of the internationally known Tempranillo. Their Crianza undergoes 6 months of aging in French and American oak barrels, resulting in a full-bodied, powerful, and well-balanced wine. It showcases a remarkable expression of ripe fruit harmoniously intertwined with delightful toasted nuances.
Grangehurst Nikela 2011
Nikela is a “Cape Blend” of Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinotage, Shiraz & Roobernet. The word “Nikela” (pronounced “Ni-care-la”) is a Nguni (Xhosa/Zulu) word meaning “to offer a gift of dedication, respect or a tribute to one’s ancestors” - this wine being a tribute to winemaker Jeremy Walker’s late parents, Eddie and Betty, who contributed greatly to the establishment of Grangehurst, which was named after their childhood homes - “The Grange” and “Hurst Close” - in England.
